Take Down Twenty

Hello Fellow Readers!

Just a note: I paid for the use of the "Murder is Wrong" reading image, so before anybody goes all AI use on me, I subscribe annually to a website where I can download whatever fellow creator images I want for free.

So... let's talk fun books for grown ups.

I recently discovered the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich on a used book store trip (hang on uptight authors). I went there with the grandchildren in search of books for them to read--you know how kids are with books-- and I thought, eh, I'll grab a couple for me. There was an entire rack of Stephanie Plum books. Let me shorten this trip by saying, after those first two books, I started ordering the books new through my Amazon account. (so see... used bookstores are a value thing for finding new books.)

This series is hilarious, hot, and leaves you hoping for once that things would just go right for Stephanie. I highly recommend this series for entertaining reads. I'm addicted to the adventures of Ms. Plum, which of late have included a highly attractive almost fiancé, a hot ex military, super magnetic colleague, an ex ho' (in her words) assistant, a giraffe, a little person (no longer referred to as midgets), a sixty something grandma who thinks she's thirty with a strange preference for entertainment, a lovable dog named Bob who eats everything, dates with murderers, and so much more all set in Trenton, NJ.

Normally, I want a lead character to make up her mind about the man she wants to be with, but I find the attraction to both the men in this series to be one I don't want to see end, though am I curious who she will inevitably choose as her biological clock seems to be ticking pretty loudly.

Currently, I'm reading #21, Top Secret Twenty-One. More on this one later.

If you're looking for a read that will make you laugh, heat up, and almost cry, I recommend this series, and definitely start with book one. The books are stand alone, but they are so much better read in order because the humor keeps building.

Read well, friends!
